This is a loose guideline, with consideration for single characters only (even though some examples have additional). Additional characters or a 'custom' built image that falls in between or outside these points are welcome, but may require some consideration. If you have something in mind, try to describe it to me and I will give you an asking price.

'Cel-Style' shading refers to hard edges on characters and background elements, much like you would find in a cartoon. Cel-style is significantly less time consuming, hence there is a large difference in pricing.

'Paint-style' shading refers to a more 'traditional' approach to the image, which tends to look more 'realistic'. While the examples given of this style have no visible black outlines, doing so with such outlines is possible.

I screwed up the resolution on this when I scanned it (because I am a genius you see). So if I have time today I need to set about fixing it. lol



At some point I'm going to have to figure out what the background to this is. That's doing things kind of backwards, isn't it? Well whatever the point is I'm having fun and that doesn't happen as often as it should :P

I found myself again yesterday. Which is good because at some point I'm going to need to do homework again.

So yesterday I was a genius, as I tend to be, and forgot certain things. Like to put the files I'm working on on my USB stick. GENIUS. So I got to sit an listen to a prerecorded finance lecture without something purposeful for my hands to do. Sadface.



This one validates my decision for buying both an Bamboo and Intuos.





After about an hour of staring at this page, you start to swear it's actually the sound of a dog with a cough.

So I'm still absolutely baffled at how bad my lineart is.

I focused last night on cleaning up my DA inbox. I felt bad. At this point I'm down from 1800 messages to 500. Strangely they all date back to when last semester started! HOW UNPROBABLE!

Still antsy to sit down and paint.

I'm really good at falling out of habits but not so much getting back into them :P

At this point I'm not even going to question it anymore, I just accept that my job is to realize their fantasies :P



And finally a better image of the painting I did for my mother. Haven't painted in a long long time, so it's not great, but I want to find some subject matter to get started on another, because it was fun, and I have the supplies just sitting around.

I got to try out my new scanner yesterday. You can't tell at this resolution, but for the ltitle bit that I worked last night, things were much clearer :3

RAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I've been on and around, but I was away from home and my laptop contracted a trojan (but the ad banner was so enticing!). I got the infection taken care of but there was evidence that the only way to be sure everything was safe was to... restore it to the factory image for the 3rd time. In the process I apparently lost two finished versions of commissions, so I get to do those again.

HAVE SOME EVERYTHING

Okay! Need to finish these off, scruitinize them a bit on a monitor that isn't notorious for understating saturation, and asking the client for any changes. Then on to Breakaway. Though now it's a shower and accounting homework. Whee.

Yesterday was a clean and flat day.



My boyfriend was watching and clearly thought it was the most boring thing he'd ever seen. Idk, clean and flat is so cathartic :P



Like this color scheme more so will probably switch the upper one to it.

Well part of my master plan is done. The other part involves seeing if I can prepare some pages of Breakaway between now and... now. Hmm. I have a ton of half finished stuff that I just moved to my thumb drive to keep me occupied during vacation :3

Ughlsegndfjhk so I had all these great plans for yesterday and woke up at 8am with an upset stomach. After two hours of lying in bed and feeling awful off and on, I told it to make up it's damned mind. At which point I had a good ol' puke fest. So this list of things that neeeeeeeeded to be done didn't. I'm starting to feel like a jerk because people are waiting on me and THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING WRONG that requires all my attention :/

I think my goal at this point is to gather together as much cleaned lineart together as I can over the next week, so I can just do a color marathon over thansgiving (when I won't have a scanner handy).
