Is it really a weekend if I'm just doing the same things I did all week.
Also I forgot my lunch ;_;

And yeah, this one is still really squicky with sort of... implied adult themes and involuntary nudity.

Grrrrrrrrrrr I've had it what, three days and I've already misplaced my Bamboo pen. It's especially puzzling to me because I didn't pull it out of my bag when I got home yesterday... so hopefully it's on the floor at home. Am I really just inept.
Cleared out most of the commission queue, what's left I'm waiting on a response on so I can start sketching (they hadn't decided what they wanted last time we talked). Beyond that I'm caught up in classes so maybe I have time this weekend to just do whatever I want, for a shocking change.

This isn't quite done, I want to make some adjustments in a few values.
SCRIBBALS
And this involves involuntary nudity, so I'm just going to link it.

Well that was a fun exercise in instant gratification. I discovered that Best Buy keeps Intuos4s in stock yesterday. So I took one home. And a Bamboo >>
The Intuos4 isn't the most amazing thing since sliced butter, but it was a lot like finding an old friend. God knows what all the buttons are for, but it was really nice to sit down and get the lines for this done without having to fight for it.
Haven't tried the Bamboo yet. So far the driver software hasn't been impressing me, but I think I just now got the setting where I want them.
This isn't amazing to you, I'm sure, but it was to me because it was so DAMN EASY.
and now I am poor. lol

Arg. Well. The mapping errors I thought I'd fixed in my tablet have come back with a vengeance, to the point that drawing last night was a frustrating experience. So right now I'm watching several auctions on ebay. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have purchased a small Intuos 3 6X4 that I can get by on (and will use at work), and I'll be watching for cheap 8X6s for home. It's looking promising, there's at least several 6X4s that are under $75 with a few hours left on them...
Ugh that just really sucks. Like, I had it for 7 years of continuous use, and that's cool, but why couldn't it just last forever!?
Stoof.

Neither of these are great photos, but the thing in question isn't done anyway so I have time to figure it out. The original painting was done two years ago, I'm in the process of 'fixing' it. The areas with blue and purple and the new things. The wall in question lives about three hours away from me though, so it is likely I won't be finishing it until Thanksgiving or Christmas.
But yeah! I spent labor day putting electric blue on someone's bathroom wall. BAM.

Yay! The pain in my hand has turned into a small ache, so I think everything will be fine. My rigorous methods of IGNORING MEDICAL PROBLEMS UNTIL THEY GO AWAY is a success once again. If only it worked on my mortgage as well! hahahaha I'm so funny.
(yah I have no idea why I'm in such a good mood today there's no real reason for it)
I love how my flats look like a festive clown college.
Since one commission is getting close to done I was hoping to make progress on the next one, since I've finished reading the reference material for it. The first drawing is just something simple I did to figure out what I wanted to do for the clothing (none were specified), and it's 'nice' but it's not very interesting, so I decided to try something a little more dynamic and fitting of the character. I may as well finish both because why not. I guess I should run the sketches by the commissioner tonight to get them approved.
I'm going to be out of town this weekend but I should have basic internet access and my laptop, so I should be able to work while I'm gone.
