Also did some work on a Breakaway page but figured it wasn't enough to justify uploading.

Yesterday was something like frolicking in a field of wildflowers until I realized that those commissiony things sort of need to be done in a reasonable amount of time 9.9

And then I discovered that cleaning the scanner didn't really address the fact that the scanner is 11 years old.

Blargarbl. At this point I have two commissions and a job all floating in the air and I can't do anything until someone emails me back and agrees to my terms (in the form of paying me :P).

I didn't do a whole lot yesterday due to just being too exhausted to try (I went to bed a lot earlier than my norm, too). But I did a wittle.

When I get angry at a drawing I tend to write stupid things on it to make me feel better. Was it really necessary that I save all the blank space in the file? No. BUT I DID ANYWAY.



And then stupid shit. Look, I'm allowed to draw stupid shit, ok?

I had to pull out my copies of the episodes to get a good reference of the Aerowing (and even then it's at the wrong angle, so I'm doing a lot of guessing), and laughed myself silly when I saw exactly how exaggerated I've gotten with the boots in comparison to the source material.

It's like that problem Warcraft has where every tier, shoulders get 10% larger.

It's monday again. How does this keep happening.







How many more times am I going to remark on the fact that I need to clean my scanner before I do.

Work was very slow yesterday so I had a lot of time to draw. I was pleased until I realized what I'd actually done was give myself work to do over the weekend. GASP

A pair of sketches I've had for a while and would sort of like to do something with.



And then this is a rough idea I had yesterday that I sketched out, that I was hoping to paint this weekend but



I found this sketch that I've had since last March, but still liked so I decided to try and finish it. My linework is always terrible so I'm sort of mixed on it.



And I actually had time to start in one next week's Alt-z



And the Breakaway page I forgot to upload yesterday.

These are just doodles. The next forever of Breakaway is going to be Emily and Winterwing angry at each other, so I needed some time to be STFU AND BE HAPPY.

The weekend was long and the flight back was hell (well ok not so much the flight back as the waking up at 4am my time to make it), so Monday I did a tiny bit of sketching but didn't find it worth the effort to plug in my scanner.

Yesterday I actually sat down and got back to work. Yay.

I decided that the Alt-z comic I had wasn't very good. It felt too long (I really want to keep most to 2 panels, with more elaborate ones for when I think of something more fun), the drawings weren't that great, and it wasn't worded right to be immediately funny. I like the idea behind it so I'll keep it for future use, but that's it.

But that means I have to draw a new one! So that's what I started in a morose daze on Monday, and then scribbled up before bed last night. I always like it when I've finished sketching and the expressions make me laugh. It's a good sign.





And then something else I did halfheartedly yesterday, we'll see where/if it goes anywhere.



And then I got to the page of Breakaway and worked on it for about three hours (there was a lot of dicking around in that three hours). I think it's nearly done, just a matter of correcting some details. It's also turned a bit grosser than I originally anticipated, so just a link today, with a warning that her clothes are coming off involuntarily.

I have a little time today to take a small break, before going back to scouring the bathroom. No more sketchy things this week, as I won't be near a scanner.

Just a link for this one because it's a bit...ouch - I've had a few comments to the effect of I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AT ALL WTF lol

I finished this page and for the most part I'm back-patting.



I don't actually carry a sketchbook at the moment. I have one of those verrrrry classy business folders, that's bendy on one end and subdivided into 7 individually labeled sections (I guess for every day of the week). And yeah, lots of loose leaf paper. I think it's a phase but it's a nice, organized one for now.

Yesterday I realized it was getting kind of heavy so I went through all the folders and played a game of sink or swim with the various drawings. About of third of everything was simply tossed, but I did find a few that had been put away out of hopelessness, kept because they looked cool. I saved them and put them back into the 'queue' pile.

This is one of those. It started out as a gift for someone but that relationship is kind of done. The cool thing about warcraft characters is they're interchangeable tho, so now it's just a pretty priest :3 Something to work on in the airport (since my integrated wifi is dead, hurray).

And I found the actual flats that I forgot to upload yesterday.

Yesterday was a sketchy day. I suppose today I should get some lines finished so I can flat tomorrow.

I got back to this and realized it was pretty much done. Did touching up all over and lettered it, here's just the colors

Ughhhh I'm going to have to give up and accept at some point that the whole reason for a buffer is weeks like this. I'm so tired ;_;

Also now that I'm using it for several hours every day, it's become somewhat clear to me that I need to order more pen nibs. Really I should just order a new pen, too, because mine has some hillarious house-fire related droop, but they're like $75 and it works so...

I guess while I pay my bills tonight Imma orderin pen nibs. Spent most of yesterday doing linework for various things, and took the easier two of the three breakaway pages I did to color. One close to done, the other no where near. lol

I made a character change on the Alt-z page because I'm petty and the original guy is being a shithead (when three people are telling you to shut up on vent during a critical moment and you don't, and then throw a fit over it, you're a shithead).

Argh why'd I take that day off now I'm behind.
