Work was very slow yesterday so I had a lot of time to draw. I was pleased until I realized what I'd actually done was give myself work to do over the weekend. GASP

Finished Emily

A pair of sketches I've had for a while and would sort of like to do something with.

And then this is a rough idea I had yesterday that I sketched out, that I was hoping to paint this weekend but

I found this sketch that I've had since last March, but still liked so I decided to try and finish it. My linework is always terrible so I'm sort of mixed on it.

And I actually had time to start in one next week's Alt-z

And the Breakaway page I forgot to upload yesterday.

It's Friiiday omg best day of the week.

I finished that Breakaway page and then forgot to upload it so you're just going to have to pretend it's awesome for me. K?

I had some free time at work and forgot the file for my redhead, but somehow did have the file for Emily. I was close to finishing it last night but was somewhat unwilling to stay up another hour. Tonight though, I think :D

STOOF.

Poked around half-heartedly at this. But since Alt-z is already done that means I pretty much have all tonight for this, and it's pretty close to completion.

But I feel anxious if I don't draw something so I grabbed a sketch that has been in my folder since last year and finally did something with it. I want to make a big series.

Oh man, now that I've remembered the wonder of .png files you're never ever going to get rid of me.

I found out when I put on the transparent background that you really want to WORK with it transparent, not just add it at the end.

So here I am breaking that rule already on the second piece.

Really light but I promise there is a drawing thar.

I have bunches to do this weekend. Raaaaaaa!!!!

Finished the Draenai priest yesterday, omg pink.

This is very very close to done, I think another half hour, so that's what I'm doing after this.

I went to wowhead last night to get an idea of the markings on the cats, and discovered that 4.1 seems to be making Wintersaber considerably easier (reflecting the Horde equivalent in Un'goro).

Which means I get a goddamned cat! lol

I don't like this one nearly as much as when I finished it four weeks ago, and there are no word bubbles so maybe I already showed it, but today's where it fit in to the chronology. I guess it's good that I can recognize all the issues with it now, but I'd have prefered to produce something worthwhile!

I think I was burnt out from everything I did on Thursday, so last night I poked at this. I think I'll aim to get it done sometime this weekend. It's been kicking around for months now and it really does need to just be done. It's a good little piece, but thinking about it wastes time I can spend moving forward with other pieces and projects.

It really is just a few things left. Filling out the boots, finishing up the gold pieces, and trying to get the effect I want on the sword (which is tough damnit!).

Well I figured I'd scan in my progress and discovered that the scanner is putting weird lines across the artwork. I'd guess it's dust on the mirror, but it's bizarre that it's only happening to the color images.... and it travels diagonally? The hell. I think I can open it up and try to clean it, but I'm sort of afraid I'll break it forever.

I didn't bother to correct it since it's and in-progress image, but I guess I can plan on having to fix the finished piece.

Then the sun went down and I couldn't paint (gasp) so I remembered that this still needs to be finished (TECHNICOLOR DARGON)

And this is close to three hours, a lot of it having to go back and play Captain Color Correction. She's getting close to done tho.

Baaaah I sat down to paint and discovered I only had one red and it's not going to work for what I want. ahahah.

I decided to try out some watercolors instead and so far that's going ok, but I have to wait for the wash to dry. Poot. (went and painted some more in between starting to write this and now, am excite)

Finally finished this! One more to go and I can look into taking commissions. cool.

Trying to keep track, this is about an hour of painting.

Not too sure what I think of this. I don't usually do a lot on Fridays, but I spent maybe an hour poking at it. It's kind of blah at the moment but experience has been they tend to until close to the end.

Finiiiished. I like this style. Maybe more to come.

Though since I putz around all weekend I get to spend the week on Breakaway pages.

Hands are still sore, still stiff (and swollen, I had no idea hands could swell) but doing much better.

I thought I'd been doing a lot of cel style shading lately, so I thought I should 'paint' a bit. I nearly finished this last night but it just started to hurt too much.

And then I futsed around and flailed all evening but finally got the next four pages of Breakaway penciled out. Now you can see how badly the paper I'm using smudges (lollll).
